"Digital Backyards", Public Talks
at PORTO (Sapporo) http://goo.gl/maps/xfHmB
On January 12th a curated program of „Public Talks“ (1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) sheds light on best practice cases of alternative network cultures: multilingual aggregator platforms, mesh networks and other seminal forms of decentralized networking. What is their potential for reforms in the sphere of digital society and the public sphere in general? This is one of the major issues of panels.
The conference consists of four successive panels which present the results of the workshop groups to a bigger, open public. Each speaker has up to 10 minutes time to give input about his/her project. Each panel lasts not longer than one hour.
An English⇔Japanese simultaneous interpreter is prepared.
